Menopause Care

Cancer Screening
Whether you have symptoms that require checking, such as breast lumps or unusual bloating, Miss Adib can offer both reassurance and the highest level of knowledge and medical expertise in gynaecological oncology. We also offer ultrasound for diagnostic checks as well as imaging, smears and colposcopy.
Colposcopy
Colposcopies are used to ensure cervical cell changes have not become cancerous and can even allow immediate treatment to take place. A biopsy may be taken, or in some cases treatment for abnormal cells can be performed by the doctor immediately. Treatment involves removing the area of abnormal cells on the cervix using a heated wire loop, called a loop cone biopsy, or LLETZ (large loop excision of the transformation zone). This is usually performed under a local anaesthetic in the clinic and takes a matter of minutes.
Hysteroscopy
Hysteroscopy is a procedure which allows the inside of your womb to be examined by a slim telescope with a camera (a hysteroscope), for both diagnostic purposes – to identify or confirm suspected problems, or to help carry out a procedure to treat polyps or fibroids.
Family Planning and Sexual Health Screening
Miss Adib offers a full consultation so you can ensure you make the best choices for your contraceptive needs and lifestyle. The Mirena or copper Coils can also be fitted in clinic. If you are concerned with your sexual health, we will include tests for HIV, Syphilis, Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C, Chlamydia, Gonorrhoea and Herpes, as well as other sexually transmitted infections.
Vaginal Treatments
Laser Treatment
This ground-breaking, painless treatment takes minutes to administer via a laser wand inserted into the vagina. It treats menopause-related vaginal dryness by stimulating the production of collagen and mucosal tissues. It can also aid women who experience dryness due to treatment for cancer.
Radiofrequency treatment
This minimally-invasive treatment works in a similar way to laser therapy, heating up the tissue and working at a cellular level to stimulate the body to rebuild and restore collagen within the vaginal tissue. This helps with laxity, postnatal disorders due to trauma from childbirth and mild urinary incontinence. Like laser treatment, it is administered via a wand, delivering just the right amount of alternating pulses of heating and cooling.
