Consultant Gynaecologist and Menopause Expert

Miss Tania Adib is a Consultant Gynaecological Oncologist at Queen's Hospital where she provides oncological care, and is Clinical Lead for the menopause clinic at The Lister Hospital in London. She has expertise in Colposcopy and vulval disorders and has a private practice in Harley Street and at The Medical Chambers Kensington. 

 

After qualifying at University College London (UCL), Miss Adib was awarded her Medicine Doctorate for work on the molecular profiling of the various genes that are implicated in epithelial ovarian cancer

Miss Adib trained in gynaecological oncology at The Royal Marsden Hospital, and worked at other major teaching hospitals in London, including University College Hospital, St Mary’s Hospital and Queen Charlotte’s Hospital. 

The early diagnosis and treatment of gynaecological cancers, treatment of abnormal cervical smears, vulval disorders and the menopause are all areas of expertise for Miss Adib. A passionate advocate for cancer prevention, she believes regular screenings are key to maintaining her patients’ optimal good health.

What is a colposcopy?

Miss Adib is highly skilled in advanced laparoscopic surgery and hysteroscopic procedures, which she performs in the outpatient setting or under general anaesthetic in both NHS and private hospitals. 

As a surgeon, Miss Adib offers the highest degree of expertise. She also believes an integrative approach to women’s health and wellbeing is essential. Empowering women is key to her work, as well as ensuring they receive the most appropriate treatment for their individual needs.

Menopause Specialist, London

Menopause is another specialism.  Miss Adib is highly skilled in the prescribing of HRT (Hormone Replacement Therapy) and Bioidentical Hormone Therapy (BHRT), which can be lifechanging for many women. 

Having a background in gynaecological oncology means Miss Adib understands not every woman can benefit from conventional HRT. She is highly trained in the latest and most effective non-hormonal treatments for menopause, such as laser and radiofrequency treatments for menopause-related vaginal atrophy and genitourinary syndrome of menopause.

Women who have survived cancer and wish to ease menopausal symptoms are warmly welcomed to Miss Adib’s clinic. As a previous Trustee of The Breast Cancer Haven Miss Adib has a special interest in this area and patients will benefit from her skilled and empathetic approach and pioneering work in this field. 

Ensuring her patients have access to the very best and most up-to-date advice in terms of gynaecology, surgery and menopause management is central to Miss Adib’s practise. Alongside more conventional surgical and medical approaches, she is also a keen advocate for the use of mindfulness, lifestyle and nutrition for managing symptoms and helping her patients get the very best out of life.
